Introduction from Chris Jones For those of you that I haven’t met already my name is Chris Jones and I have recently been appointed as a Community Rugby Coach for Northwich RUFC. I delighted to get the job and work with Northwich as they are a true community club and I am proud to be working on behalf of the club and I will put all my efforts into helping the club improve both on and off the pitch in all age groups. Previous to my appointment I worked for the RFU as a Community Rugby Coach incorporating the whole of Cheshire taking on project based coaching sessions mainly targeted at Girls tag and Sixth form and college rugby. On the playing side I have played rugby since I was 6yrs old at Wilmslow RUFC where I went on to captain the first XV for 2 years enjoying many tough encounters against Northwich and many other local clubs. Last season I wanted a new challenge on the playing side and decided to move to Macclesfield RUFC and play National rugby. Fortunately I was able to get into the 1st XV and play regularly experiencing new challenges and surroundings on a weekly basis. I will be coaching at the club once or twice a month on a Sunday the first one being this coming Sunday 14th September, so if anybody would like some help or some specific coaching please don’t hesitate to contact me. Good luck to all at Northwich RUFC this coming season
