Fund Raising

Fund Raising
As the club get larger and standards improve, the costs associated with running teams, participating in leagues, coaching etc. increase and so need to be addressed. Northwich RUFC take a proactive approach in attracting and raising funds to help maintain and grow the club capabilities. Broadly these are :-

Sponsorship
Sponsors are encouraged to participate in club activities via advertising and benefit in kind donations. See the sponsorship page for more details.

RFU, Sports and external grants
Active application for grants to help with community activities and club infrastructure.

Northwich Festival
Annual fund raising event held over the bank holiday weekend at Moss Farm to raise funds. See dedicated web site.

100 club
Weekly lottery for club members - see web page.

Coffin Dodgers League
Predict league fixtures to win points and regular prizes - see web page

New schemes
However these approaches alone are not sufficient and the club have formed a fund raising committee to evaluate and run new events and schemes. These are described below :-

conversionzone

Conversionzone- Save your money and help the club!
In recognition of the tough times we are all facing the club have recently set up a dedicated fund raising committee. This new committee will work to improve and co-ordinate all the club fund raising activities and bring in new initiatives to increase the club’s income. The first initiative is being run in conjunction with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and is called “conversionzone”. The RFU have teamed up with USwitch to help you easily ‘convert’ your energy supplier, insurance or bank over the web. The difference now is at the same time as you save lots of your hard earned cash, the club also benefits. All you have to do is visit the USwitch web site at www. uswitch.com/rfu, choose ‘Northwich RFC’ from the list of clubs and then click ‘Set up the club’ and then you can chose what service/product you want to switch. USwitch then helps you compare different services with your existing ones and makes switching easy when you are sure its right for you.
Not just Energy savings!
With recent improvements to the NPower ‘Sign Online 17’ and British Gas ‘WebSaver 5’ tariffs, there could be huge savings out there for you. But conversionzone is not limited to energy saving and can be used for all types of switches including car and house insurance, telephone and broadband. So please take a minute or two to compare prices with your current suppliers and help us to earn money for the club. Please note that this is not limited to club members, everyone can use this facility so please tell all your friends and they can help the club too. Thanks for your support.

If you have any questions or suggestions for fund raising ideas please email Bryan (BJ) Johnson - bjohnson@northwichrufc.co.uk or Natalie Wilson nwilson@northwichrufc.co.uk from the fund raising committee.
