Huai Whale
Huia Whale came to the club in 2010 after having travelled from Australia to Beverley in Yorkshire. Huia was in fact born in New Zealand and went to school in Taihape College which is on the North Island near to the geyser areas south of Rotorua and Lake Taupo. Taihape is also known as The Gumboot Capital of the world locally. Huia played at school and afterwards, travelled to the Sunshine Coast of Australia and played in Melbourne Victoria with the Box Hill club. After moving north to Queensland he played for Maroochidoor in the Sunshine league. He has worked as a warehouse fork lift driver but in the UK he works for Souters Sport.
