John Blower before his accident

Running Totals - JBT Fund
For the past 8 weeks the joint working party between Northwich and Winnington Park have been planning a weekend of activities aimed at all sectors of the Northwich community in aid of John Blower.
John was left paralysed following an accident in December when a scum failed to engage properly. Since then the clubs have joined forces and pushed all rivalry to one side and the small committee have worked together to put on an action packed weekend. Mick McCafferty Chairman of Winnington Park ‘The work that the 2 clubs are doing together is great, hopefully we can all make a difference to John’s life when he finally returns to Northwich’
The weekend starts on Saturday 1st May with Cheshire playing Durham in the RFU County championship game. Before the game will be a pre match lunch with guest speaker Dean Richards, ex England and British Lions player. There will be a 4 course meal in a marquee at Winnington Park’s Burrows Hill ground. Tables of 10 are available at £300.
Sunday will be an action packed day where there will be something for everyone. The day starts at with the Eric Johnsons of Northwich 10-aside competition where there will be 12 teams competing for the trophy. This should provide excellent afternoon of Rugby. In addition to this will be a bouncy castle and other entertainment for the kids.
The fun does not stop there, with Burrows Hill then hosting a night with 3 tribute bands, including tributes to Robbie Williams and Tom Jones.
Trust Chairman Andy Naylor ‘ The weekend is shaping up to be fantastic, this is not just aimed at the Rugby community, there will be something for everyone over the weekend’
