Northwich came second best after a closely fought match at Waterloo. Half time Waterloo 5 Northwich 7
In the sweltering heat it was Northwich who wilted first, continually being turned over in posession, slack tackling and not punishing Waterloo's mistakes allowing them to score two tries with one conversion. It was during the last quarter of the game Northwich began to shape up by playing rugby in the opponents 22. From a series of mauls the ball was moved to the right to O'Driscoll to score in the corner this being converted with a mighty effort from Joel Baker.

September 18th U18’s vs Burnage (Home) Lost 7-19
Northwich were caught cold by conceding an early try scored by the Burnage No 10 who brushed aside at least four inept attempted tackles after receiving the ball from a lineout on the Northwich 22m line. This try was converted. Northwich failed to establish any rhythm to their game, continually going into loose play with possession of the ball and turning it over to the livelier opposition. Northwich went further behind before half-time when Burnage scored another converted try.
Half time Northwich 0 Burnage 14.
With a slight wind in their favour Northwich had their purple patch of the game with the forwards supplying good ball for the backs to use. Newcomer Toby Kinealy breaking through the Burnage three quarters chipping over the fullback diving onto the loose ball in the try area to score, Joel Baker obliging with the conversion. Northwich again applied pressure forcing a line out 5m from the Burnage try line, from the resultant throw in Burnage gained possession cleared up field to the Northwich 22m line, again from a poor line out from Northwich Burnage had the ball, moved it wide to the left were a ruck formed they rolled off scoring in the corner.
