U13’s Match Reports 2007-8
November 18th U12’s vs Wilmslow (Home) Lost 70-7
This sounds like a thrashing but the game was played over 3x 15 minute periods with multiple substitutions from both sides. Considering that for a lot of our players it was their first or second ever match they played with great heart and enthusiasm, never letting their heads drop.
The forwards played the best I have ever seen, winning nearly all the scrums and a good percentage of the loose play, but for all this they only managed one try when Jack Woodcock crashed over from about 10m for his first try for the club. All the new players showed that there is great promise in this side, and one of them, Callum Holland, was voted man-of-the-match for his tackling and power in the loose.
