U16’s Match Reports 2011-12
October 2nd U16’s vs Congleton (Home) Lost 37-27
What a fantastic game today. Without exception I am proud of each and everyone the Northwich players who all played some fantastic Rugby and gave it 100%. Once again the scrum was unbeatable, even their coach made mention of it so top marks to Jonny Dean, Kieron Passey, George Hammond, Aaron Collins, Chris Simpson and Josh Evans.
There was plenty of fast ball played by the backs ( and occasionally even the forwards) some nice kicking by Eddie Wells for us to chase and a couple of perfectly placed kicks into touch. Antony Flaherty had a great game at Scrum half who spread some great balls along the line.
Joe Glimond led by example in his first match as Captain and carried the ball and tackled exceptionally and was voted by Congleton as their man of the match. Tom Ikin, Josh White,Bayley Morley & Johnny Simpson played exceptionally well in the backs with some fantastic passing of the ball and they all played more than one position !
With some crunching tackling all round, and great support play, I can honestly say this is the best I have seen the team play and it shows we are moving in the right direction.
