U11’s Match Reports 2007-8
March 2nd U11’s vs Macclesfield (Away) Won 21-14
Under 11s played their best game yet, with a great win over Macclesfield, this was a great team effort with all the hard work they have put into training now paying off, Micheal Callaghan had some blistering runs, two of which produced tries, and the times he did get tackled, credit to his forwards who were always in support, they all worked well in the loose with Rhys Jones being the pick. forwards again showed their dominance with a driving maul resulting in a try, and once all the bodies moved it was versatile back/forward Oliver Rutter who emerged with the ball, with two conversion kicked by Luke Burmah this was a great win.

March 16th U11’s vs Knutsford (Home) Won 35-10
The U11’s had a great turn around following last weeks defeat by Crewe and Nantwich 20 to 30, which was due to poor tackling, with a reverse score of 35 to 10 win which was down to great tackling and more assertive play from our key players i.e. Emily Sutton {scrum half} and Joe Foulkes {standoff} which produced some fluent passages of play allowing our speedsters to score tries, notably Michael Callaghan. but all had a fantastic game.
Try scorers were Michael Callaghan 2 and Luke Burmah 2, Joe Foulkes 2 and Jack Eaton, no conversions taken, player of the match went to Emily Sutton.

March 29th & 30th U11’s @ International Tournament - Shield Winners
The U11’s, who beat off stiff competition from all over England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, beat Melrose from Scotland in the final of the Welsh Festival of Rugby Shield Final 20-0, with a great team effort. Northwich U11’s were the only team that had girls, showing that this game can produce great results with mixed gender teams, with the two girls in our team being a match for any boy at their age level in skill and strength, WELL DONE, everyone
